Wedding photographs in reflections
One element of a wedding photograph that never fails to catch the eye is reflections: there is something magical about a reflection, transforming an ordinary scene into something special. Using windows, water, mirrors or any sort of reflective surface can change an image into a work of art. I like to incorporate reflections into my wedding photography it can lead to some amazing effects and beautiful images.
By including the reflection into the photograph or viewing the scene through the reflection it adds an extra dimension to the photograph. The viewer may need to take a little extra time to study the photograph and actually see what is going on in the scene.
The wonderful thing about using reflections when taking photos is that they can completely alter the image from something fairly straight forward to something richer, abstract or otherwise more artistic. Sometimes reflections can be annoying and certainly not artistic. But creativity and good-quality wedding photography depend on the photographer being able to see things differently, rather than seeing only one part of a larger whole.
I like when I am able to show both sides of the bride in her gown at the same time. The front of the gown is beautiful and so is the back of the wedding gown a mirror placed just right will show this off. www.tapestryhouse.com/
